DTC HORN LAKE, MS CAMPUS HISTORY
In August 2004, Delta Technical College first opened its doors in Southhaven, Mississippi. Medical Assisting was the first program offered, shortly followed by HVAC/R in September.
The original campus consisted of three separate buildings: HVAC/R, medical assisting, and administration offices. Just one year after opening, DTC had enrolled 199 students!
DTC added the Medical Coding Program in October 2008, followed by Welding and Cosmetology in March 2009. Dental Assisting came soon after in April 2009, then the Electrician Program just a year later, in April 2010. The CDL Training Course and Professional Truck Driving Program were added in June 2013.
To accommodate the growing student body, DTC moved its campus facility less than 20 miles outside Memphis, Tennessee to Horn Lake, Mississippi in March 2009. In 2018, the Horn Lake campus moved ‘next door’ to a larger facility to better suit the needs of our students, where it still stands today.
