Delta Technical College To Offer Evening Classes
Beginning with the classes starting on March 27th, Delta Technical College (DTC) is happy to announce extended hours at some of our campus locations. In an effort to better meet the needs of our diverse student population, a decision was made to expand the times that some of our courses and programs were offered.
DTC offers students hands-on workforce training in a variety of Allied Health and Mechanical Trades, CDL, Professional Truck Driving and Cosmetology fields. The expansion of the hours our courses and programs are being offered is just another example of our dedication to accommodating the needs of those seeking career training.
Not all classes will be available at all campus locations. Those interested in classes at DTC will need to reach out to their nearest campus to check class times and course availability.
Delta Technical College Hosts Annual Welding Competitions

The event featured contestants from a variety of high schools and career centers, giving these students an opportunity to showcase their welding skills. Participants were also welcomed to tour the DTC campuses and learn more about the Journeyman Welder and Journeyman Welder II programs.
Mike Rowe/Delta Technical College Scholarship
The process of determining this year’s MRW/DTC Scholarship recipients is currently underway, and the registration period has just ended. With over 1000 registrations between all six campus locations, the process of selecting the recipients should prove challenging.
Finalists are in the process of being selected based on their registration, which included a short video and essay, expressing why they would be a good candidate to receive the scholarship. Those selected will then be called in to their local campus for the interview process before the Scholarship Selection Committee makes their decisions on who will receive a scholarship. Up to a total of 23 scholarships will be awarded at each campus location.
The winners of the MRW/DTC Scholarship will be announced on May 5th, 2017.
