2024 DTC High School Welding Competition

Horn Lake, MS Campus Competition

Competition Highlights

  • 47 participants (25 seniors and 22 juniors)
  • $21,000 in DTC scholarships awarded (only Seniors were awarded scholarships)
  • 9 high schools represented: Desoto County Career Technology Center West, Job Corps, Benton County Career & Technical Center- TN, Benton County Career & Technical Center- MS, Millington High School, Tippah Career & Technology Center, Kingsbury Career & Technology Center, Bartlett High School, & Brighton High School

Senior Division Top 3:

  1. First Place: Levi Daughtry of Millington High School; awarded a $5,000 DTC scholarship. Millington High School will also receive a $1,000 donation from DTC.
  2. Second Place: Robert Teems of Millington High School; awarded a $2,500 DTC scholarship.
  3. Third Place: Jonathan Earnest-Desoto County Career Technology Center West; awarded a $1,000 DTC scholarship.

Competition Highlights

  • 31 total participants
  • $24,000 in DTC scholarships awarded
  • 11 high schools represented: Florence High School, Lake High School, Morton High School, Forest-Scott County Career and Technology Center, Callaway High School, Provine High School, Lanier High School, Sebastopol Attendance Center, Scott Central Attendance Center, Cleveland Central High School, Career Development Center (CDC) in Jackson, MS

Top 3:

  1. First Place: Sean Fain of Florence High School; awarded a $5,000 DTC scholarship. Florence High School will also receive a $1,000 donation from DTC.
  2. Second Place: Griffin Bonner of Florence High School; awarded a $2,500 DTC scholarship.
  3. Third Place: Tyler Ammons of Florence High School; awarded a $1,000 DTC scholarship.

2025 Competition Dates to Be Announced

Everyone who competes receives a $500 scholarship to attend DTC.

Competition is open to all high school seniors across the country.
